I read about an online retail company that had so many complaints about their refund services that Google and the other search engines increased it’s SEO ranking and projected their company to the number one SERP for many of its sales pages. The negative pages lingered at the bottom of page one or page two. Because negative review websites have such high page ranking , usually in the RP5-PR7 and higher and are SEO ripe, these websites are fantastic for back linking. Now it does come with a cost, in that whatever negative review content, comments and rebuttals may lose you a few customers.
Vital Voice & Data and Saxon Enterprises did research on the negative reviews, page ranking, and other SEO differentiators with SERPs. Surprisingly, the primary website and it’s lousy stale data was starting to show up more on page one SERPs in Google. Not really a black hat form of internet marketing, but if you are looking for a way to get high PR back links, this may prove beneficial to you.
You may want to create a positive negative review of your company so that it turns into a good thing and not a black eye that you need to constantly remind your customers that it was done on purpose for advertising and internet marketing purposes trying to get your product and services seen to more people.
Most of the time negative reviews can run havoc on a company for a longer period of time, but if kept at bay, by not responding or making a negative thread, it will slowly go away on its own, because you should be squashing it with new and current content and information that the search engines use to promote you.
There are other white hat ways to bring your products and services to page one of the SERP with other high page rank sites. It takes work.
